Previously:
“Fou de Basson”, founded in 1988, is a French association dedicated
to promoting the bassoon and its practice. It brings together all
bassoonists, regardless of skill level, and fosters communication
between musicians, composers, and enthusiasts. The association
organizes concerts, workshops, conferences, and festivals, and
supports the creation of new repertoire. It also offers a
multilingual website, a forum, a quarterly newsletter, and a media
library about the bassoon. The overall goal is to revitalize the
bassoon scene in France and preserve its heritage and history.
